Privacy Policy

How Rizon Maps collects, uses, stores and protects your information.

Last updated: June 2026

Rizon Maps is committed to protecting the privacy of all clients and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how Rizon Maps collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with the services offered, including website development, hosting, dashboard access, and professional email configuration.

Rizon Maps operates globally and serves clients across Australia, New Zealand, the United States, the European Union, and other regions. This policy is designed to comply with applicable privacy legislation across these jurisdictions, including but not limited to the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the United Kingdom GDPR, and applicable United States state and federal privacy frameworks.

By using Rizon Maps services, purchasing a plan, or accessing the client platform, the client acknowledges that they have read and understood this Privacy Policy and that their personal information will be collected and used in accordance with it.

1. Who We Are

Rizon Maps is a premium managed digital infrastructure provider offering website development, SEO visibility services, Google Maps optimisation, AI visibility services, professional business email configuration, and client dashboard access to businesses worldwide. Rizon Maps is based in Australia and operates internationally.

Contact: support@rizonmaps.com

Website: rizonmaps.com

2. Information Rizon Maps Collects

Information provided directly by the client:

  • Full name and business name;
  • Email address and phone number;
  • Business address;
  • Business website address and Google Maps listing details, collected as part of the purchase and identity verification process;
  • Payment information (processed securely through Stripe — Rizon Maps does not store card details);
  • Website content, images, logos, and materials supplied for service delivery;
  • Communications sent via email, WhatsApp, or contact forms.

Information collected automatically:

  • IP address;
  • Browser type and version;
  • Pages visited and time spent on the Rizon Maps website;
  • Referring website or traffic source;
  • Dashboard login activity and access logs.

3. How Rizon Maps Uses Personal Information

Personal information collected by Rizon Maps is used to:

  • Deliver and manage purchased services;
  • Verify the identity and legitimacy of the purchasing party prior to and following purchase;
  • Set up and maintain client dashboard access;
  • Process payments securely through Stripe;
  • Send service-related communications including onboarding instructions, project updates, and renewal reminders;
  • Respond to support requests and resolve disputes or complaints;
  • Improve the Rizon Maps platform, services, and internal systems;
  • Comply with legal obligations under applicable law;
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, impersonation, or unauthorised activity.

Rizon Maps does not use personal information for unsolicited marketing communications without the client's prior consent.

4. Legal Basis for Processing Personal Information

Rizon Maps processes personal information on the following legal bases, which are recognised under Australian, EU, UK, and New Zealand privacy frameworks:

  • Contract performance: processing is necessary to deliver the services purchased by the client;
  • Legitimate interests: processing is necessary to operate, maintain, and improve the business, and to protect against fraud and misuse;
  • Legal obligation: processing is necessary to comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements;
  • Consent: where the client has explicitly agreed to a specific use of their personal information.

Where Rizon Maps relies on legitimate interests as a legal basis, those interests do not override the fundamental rights and privacy interests of the client.

5. Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a globally recognised PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment processor. Rizon Maps does not store, access, or retain full card details, bank account information, or payment credentials at any time.

Stripe processes payment data independently and in accordance with its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy. By completing a purchase through Rizon Maps, the client also agrees to Stripe's data handling practices as they apply to payment processing.

6. Data Sharing & Third-Party Providers

Rizon Maps does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties for commercial purposes.

Limited personal information may be shared with trusted third-party service providers solely for the purpose of delivering agreed services, including:

  • Stripe (secure payment processing);
  • Hostinger (web hosting infrastructure and server management);
  • Google (maps, search visibility, and analytics platform services);
  • Transactional email service providers (for sending onboarding, billing, and service notifications);
  • WhatsApp / Meta (for project communication and client support — subject to Meta's own privacy terms).

AI Platforms & Business Visibility Services:

As part of the visibility optimisation services provided, Rizon Maps may submit client business information — including business name, address, service descriptions, operating areas, and other publicly available business details — to AI platforms, search engines, agentic AI systems, and digital discovery platforms for the purpose of improving the client's online presence and search visibility. These platforms may include, but are not limited to:

  • OpenAI (including ChatGPT);
  • Anthropic (including Claude);
  • Google (including Gemini and Google agentic platforms);
  • Microsoft Copilot;
  • Perplexity AI;
  • and other AI assistants, agentic platforms, and digital discovery systems as relevant to the client's market, industry, and the evolving AI landscape.

The information submitted to these platforms consists exclusively of business-related information intended for public visibility — the same information a business would display on its website, Google Business Profile, or public directory listings. Rizon Maps does not submit private personal information, financial data, or confidential communications to these platforms.

Each of these platforms operates independently and is subject to its own terms of service and privacy policies. Rizon Maps does not control how these platforms process, store, or use submitted business information once it has been indexed or incorporated into their systems. By purchasing a dashboard or visibility plan, the client acknowledges and consents to their publicly available business information being submitted to these platforms as part of the service.

All third-party infrastructure providers engaged by Rizon Maps are required to handle personal information securely and may only use it for the specific purpose of supporting Rizon Maps service delivery. Rizon Maps is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of third-party platforms.

Rizon Maps may also disclose personal information where required by law, by court order, by a regulatory authority, or where reasonably necessary to protect legal rights in connection with a payment dispute, chargeback investigation, or suspected fraudulent activity.

7. WhatsApp Communications

Rizon Maps uses WhatsApp as a supported communication channel for client onboarding, project support, and service updates. When a client communicates with Rizon Maps via WhatsApp, those communications are subject to Meta Platforms' own privacy policy and terms of service in addition to this policy.

Rizon Maps uses WhatsApp communications solely for service delivery and client support purposes. Message content shared through WhatsApp in connection with a service engagement may be retained as part of the service record for the duration of the engagement and for a reasonable period thereafter for dispute resolution and legal compliance purposes.

Clients who prefer not to use WhatsApp may communicate with Rizon Maps exclusively via email at support@rizonmaps.com.

8. How Client Information is Used for Service Delivery

Rizon Maps collects only the personal information necessary to deliver the services purchased. Business information, content, images, and materials provided by the client are used solely for the purpose of building and maintaining the client's website or dashboard. All client-supplied materials — including business name, logo, written content, and images — are intended for public display as part of the client's digital presence and are handled with care and confidentiality during the development process.

Domain & DNS Access:

Rizon Maps does not request, store, or access domain account credentials, passwords, or login details at any time. The client's domain name remains entirely under their own ownership and control. To connect a domain to Rizon Maps hosting, the client independently updates DNS settings using instructions provided by Rizon Maps. If any communication is received claiming to be from Rizon Maps and requesting domain login credentials, clients should disregard it and contact Rizon Maps immediately at support@rizonmaps.com.

Professional Email Configuration Data:

Email alias and forwarding configurations managed within the Rizon Maps hosting environment are used solely for the purpose of delivering the included email service. Rizon Maps does not access, read, monitor, or store the content of client email communications at any time. Email configuration data — such as address routing and alias records — is retained only for as long as the hosting service remains active.

9. Identity Verification Data

As part of the purchase and onboarding process, Rizon Maps collects business identification information — including business name, website address, and contact details — to verify that the purchasing party is the legitimate owner or authorised representative of the business for which services are being purchased.

This information is processed under Rizon Maps' legitimate interest in preventing fraudulent transactions and protecting the integrity of the platform and of legitimate business owners. Where fraud or impersonation is reasonably suspected, Rizon Maps may retain and share relevant identification and transaction data with appropriate authorities in accordance with applicable law.

10. Legal Pages & Client Website Policies

Where Rizon Maps includes standard Terms & Conditions or Privacy Policy templates within a client's website as part of the deployment process, those templates are provided for structural purposes only and do not constitute legal advice. The data handling practices described in a client's website policies are entirely the client's responsibility.

Rizon Maps is not a data controller in relation to the client's own website visitors or end users. Clients are solely responsible for ensuring their website's legal pages accurately reflect their own business practices and comply with applicable laws in their jurisdiction. Rizon Maps recommends clients obtain independent legal advice if required.

11. International Data Transfers

Rizon Maps operates from Australia and serves clients internationally. Personal information collected may be stored or processed in Australia or in countries where Rizon Maps' third-party infrastructure providers operate, including the United States and the European Economic Area.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, Rizon Maps takes reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable privacy laws. For clients located in the European Union or United Kingdom, Rizon Maps relies on recognised transfer mechanisms including standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards where required under GDPR.

By using Rizon Maps services, clients consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of their personal information in accordance with this policy.

12. Data Retention

Rizon Maps retains personal information for as long as necessary to deliver purchased services, comply with legal and financial record-keeping obligations, and resolve disputes or enforce agreements. Client account data is retained for a minimum of 7 years after service completion in accordance with Australian accounting and legal compliance requirements.

Email configuration data and hosting-related records are retained for the duration of the active service period and removed following service termination after a reasonable transition period. Clients may request deletion of their personal data at any time, subject to Rizon Maps' legal obligations to retain certain records.

13. Data Security

Rizon Maps implements reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include:

  • Secure HTTPS connections on all Rizon Maps web properties;
  • Password-protected client dashboard access;
  • Restricted administrative access controls;
  • Regular security monitoring and automated backups.

While Rizon Maps takes data security seriously, no online system or internet transmission is entirely immune to risk. Clients are encouraged to use strong, unique passwords for their accounts and to notify Rizon Maps promptly at support@rizonmaps.com if they suspect any unauthorised access to their account or data.

14. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

The Rizon Maps website may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve the browsing experience and analyse website traffic. Cookies are small data files stored on the client's device.

Types of cookies that may be used:

  • Essential cookies: required for core website functionality and security;
  • Analytics cookies: to understand how visitors interact with the website, including through tools such as Google Analytics;
  • Preference cookies: to remember user settings and browsing preferences.

Clients located in the European Union or United Kingdom have the right to manage cookie consent in accordance with the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR. Cookies can be controlled or disabled through browser settings at any time, though disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Rizon Maps website.

15. Client Rights & Privacy Requests

Rizon Maps recognises and respects the privacy rights of clients in all jurisdictions. Depending on the applicable laws of the client's country or region, the following rights may apply:

  • Right of access: the right to request a copy of personal information held by Rizon Maps;
  • Right to correction: the right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Right to deletion: the right to request deletion of personal data, subject to legal retention obligations;
  • Right to restriction: the right to request that processing of personal data be limited in certain circumstances;
  • Right to data portability: the right to receive personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format;
  • Right to object: the right to object to the processing of personal data for certain purposes, including direct marketing;
  • Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, the right to withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

To exercise any of the above rights, please submit a written request to support@rizonmaps.com. Rizon Maps will respond within 30 days of receipt. Where a request cannot be fulfilled due to legal obligations, Rizon Maps will provide a clear explanation.

Clients who believe their privacy rights have been infringed may also lodge a complaint with the relevant privacy or data protection authority in their jurisdiction. Relevant authorities include:

  • Australia: Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) — oaic.gov.au;
  • New Zealand: Office of the Privacy Commissioner — privacy.org.nz;
  • European Union / United Kingdom: the relevant national data protection authority in the client's country;
  • United States: the relevant state attorney general's office or Federal Trade Commission (FTC), depending on applicable state law.

16. Children's Privacy

Rizon Maps services are intended exclusively for business clients and adults aged 18 years and over. Rizon Maps does not knowingly collect, store, or process personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If Rizon Maps becomes aware that personal data has been collected from a minor, that data will be deleted promptly. If a parent or guardian believes their child's information has been submitted to Rizon Maps, please contact support@rizonmaps.com immediately.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Rizon Maps may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in business practices, services offered, applicable laws, or regulatory requirements. The updated version will be published on the Rizon Maps website with a revised last updated date at the top of the document.

Where changes are material, Rizon Maps will make reasonable efforts to notify active clients via email prior to the changes taking effect. Continued use of Rizon Maps services after an updated Privacy Policy has been published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
